Our Quality Assurance Checklist

Here is what our internal digital team looks at before pushing new content live. Reviewing these lists before creating new content can assure a smooth and more efficient process.

    Product Pages

    Non-Product Pages

    SEO & Functionality

Is there a “back to products” button on the hero?

Make sure lead title is H1 so that it is picked up on browsers.

Are all links functioning and taking users to the right place?

Are the alt image tags properly populated?

Convert all images to webp where available in the helper to optimize page load.

Does the meta data reflect the page content? (Cloning an existing page can pull through the wrong data.)

Make sure the page’s “short description” field (located in Geneal tab and MetaTags) is filled in (can use intro copy).

Do the titles on the Documents download cards look right? (All spaces in titles should be replaced by hyphens or underscores.)

Do the Related Products thumbnails look correct. Using Autofil component?

Are the page blocks properly labeled in Site Studio to help us manage the page in the future?

References should be in closed accordions.

How is the page handling on smaller screens and on mobile?

    Design & Imagery

Is the hero the best possible solution? Is there a video/animated option available? Is the hero video hosted in the system, not YouTube?

Is the primary product thumbnail correct--the right product, the right crop, and no gradient?

Check size, optimization, aspect ratio of photos/illustrations.

Are the related products thumbnails accurate and cropped  properly (no gradients)?

Is the padding and spacing around blocks consistent?

    Validation

    Final content read-through.

Double check meta data and short description.

Is the page consistent with the rest of the site in terms of brand and overall design?

    Test all links.

Double check the product is assigned to proper pages and categories.

Footnote count: do the numbers on the page match the numbers in the References block.

Ticket if a new page is replacing an old one with redirects. Alert owner when page is going live.
